Day 1- Flight to Bali

We did spend some days in Singapore prior to our Bali trip. At 6:15 am we to a taxi to the airport. We got breakfast in the Singapore Air Lounge before the flight to Bali departed at 9:35 - a half hour late compared to scheduled departure at 9:05. We landed in Bali pretty much on time, got through the immigration quickly.
There were hundreds in the queue, but a friendly young man in front of us asked “May I ask you a silly question” and pointed to a sign that said travelers over 60 and travelers with young children could use a special counter - there was no queue and friendly service and we got through right away. It saved us a really long wait.
We quickly got our suitcases and went to the exit - here was a massive array of taxi and private drivers with name tags on passengers who had pre-booked transportation. In Bali there are only cars and scooters - no public transport - and to be sure to get a taxi and to mark a taxi at the "right price" you have to book a car in advance. Before I had spotted "our" private driver and guide, he had recognized me from a picture in my WhatsApp profile.
